Punjab allows sign-ups for an online auction of Golden Numbers.
The Punjab government has commenced the registration process for the online auction of a new series of motorcycles and cars with appealing registration numbers.
The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department initiated the registration for the auction of distinctive registration numbers for one series starting on January 1. This process is facilitated through the e-auction App and Web Portal, developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
For two additional new series, the registration will commence on January 11 and 21, respectively.
The bidding for these three series is scheduled to kick off on January 11, 21, and February 1, respectively.
Additionally, the registration for the auction of a new series of commercial vehicles started on January 1, and the online bidding is set to begin on January 21.
Speaking on the matter, PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf emphasized that citizens can actively participate in the bidding process to secure their desired vehicle registration numbers. This can be done by registering from the comfort of their homes through the e-Auction Mobile App.
