Motorbike sales decrease 13% during Jul-Dec 2024 in Pakistan

The country experienced a 13.70% decline in the sales of motorcycles and three-wheelers during the initial six months of the current fiscal year (2023-24) compared to the corresponding period last year.

According to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), a total of 541,821 motorcycles and three-wheelers were sold from July to December, down from 627,835 units during the same period in the previous fiscal year (2022-23).

Honda motorcycle sales decreased by 10.01%, going from 522,770 units to 470,399 units. Suzuki motorcycle sales witnessed a substantial decline of 64.42%, dropping from 20,762 units to 7,386 units during the reviewed months.

Similarly, Yamaha motorcycle sales decreased from 6,823 units to 4,583 units, and Road Prince motorcycle sales saw a significant drop of 53.38%, going from 17,336 units to 8,082 units.

United Auto motorcycle sales experienced a decrease of 16.25%, declining from 50,384 units to 42,196 units.

On the other hand, United Auto’s three-wheeler sales increased from 770 units to 1,097 units, showing a growth of 42.46%. Sazgar three-wheeler sales also saw an uptick of 27.40%, rising from 3,868 units to 4,928 units. However, Qingqi three-wheeler sales decreased by 28.64%, going from 3,481 units to 2,484 units, as per the data released by APP.
