Twitter has updated it policies regarding COVID-19. It requires users to removed unverified new and reports regarding coronavirus.
Twitter said that it will remove all the misleading and fake news tweets regarding 5G plot theories and COVID-19. Twitter announced that they will remove all the posts or tweets that inspires people for harmful acts.
They decided to remove these tweets after incidence in Europe where people burned 5G tower as they claiming a link of 5G with COVID-19.
By speaking with TechCrunch Spoke person of Twitter said that our priority is to remove content of COVID-19 as most of them spread false news mostly.
Twitter has already removed about 2,230 tweets that spread false news or having harmful content.
