Prepare for Twitter to begin looking a ton crisper — beginning today, the organization is allowing all users to tweet (and view) pictures in 4K on iOS and Android.
Twitter’s web application as of now upholds higher-resolution pictures (at up to 4096 x 4096 resolution), but the smartphone applications had been limited to simply a large portion of that, with a most extreme resolution of 2048 x 2048. The organization had recently begun testing the 4K picture transfer option for smartphone users recently, and it appears to be those tests worked out in a good way, as its currently carrying out the element to all users beginning today.
Have a collection of higher res photos waiting to be shared? We’re testing ways for you to upload and view 4K images on Android and iOS.

To empower the new component, users should go to the “data usage” section of the settings menu in the Twitter application and empower both “excellent pictures” (for review 4K pictures) and “high-quality image uploads” (for tweeting them). Users can choose whether they’d like the higher-resolution pictures to be empowered for both cell and Wi-Fi, just Wi-Fi, or incapacitated altogether — comparable choices to how Twitter handles higher resolution or auto-playing video.
