TikTok Lets Parents Set Restrictions on their kids’ accounts
TikTok is now launching a new feature that allows parents to set a restriction on their kid’s accounts. They named this feature Family Pairing and this feature will help parents to link their kid’s accounts with theirs, parents will able to disable direct messages of their children’s accounts, and they will also restrict some adult-based content and fix the time of screen limits.
This is such a great step from Tiktok officials and this feature will be included in the next upcoming update of TikTok. They developed this feature because last year in February 2019, Tiktok company paid 5.7$ million because of alleged violations of children’s privacy law and allowing 13 years old kids to create accounts without their Parents’ permission.
This is the main reason why Tiktok adds screen limits and allows parents to control the app and their kid’s accounts. Earlier this year Tiktok named this feature Family Safety Mode.
When a kid of 16 or under 16 gets a message or tries to text someone then Tiktok will appear this message on the screen.
After the next update of Tiktok, Parents can easily control their kid’s account easily when their accounts links with each other.
Parents have to agree their kids link their accounts after the new update. For the linking of their kid’s accounts, parents need to scan the QR-code of their kid’s accounts that will be available under the digital section of their kid’s accounts.
If kids don’t want their parents to see their messages then kids can easily disable this feature anytime.
When the kids disable this feature then their parents will receive a notification regarding disconnection and they will ask you to rescan the QR code if they want.
