Recently, Facebook launched this feature that allows users to send and received money by using Facebook family apps WhatsApp, Messenger, and Instagram. It also allows you to make payments for purchases.
Facebook payment service is similar to Google Wallet, Venmo, Apple Pay, and online money transferring and receiving apps. It allows users to send money directly from their bank account or you can also use your credit card.
You can also make a payment on Facebook market places. It is free to use as it has no additional fee for transferring or receiving money but it will not store your money on an online account.
Facebook already added a payment service on messenger but it will not accept credit card services. While Facebook payment service supports all major types of credit card services like Visa, Mastercard, and others. You can also connect your Facebook payment service with Paypal. Facebook spoke person said that Paypal and other international payment services can process payments via Facebook pay.
How does Facebook Pay work?
You can easily send or receive money via FB pay by sitting anywhere in the city or country. All you need to do is to link your debit card with messenger pay and then tap on the option of payment. When you are done with it, then enter the amount you want to send and tap on the send icon.
When you tap on the send icon then they will ask you to enter your pin, simply enter your pin and your amount will be transferred to them. There is a limit to sending money and it can only be sent if you are having an updated version of Messenger. This feature is available for both Android and iOS users.
Is it safe to use Facebook Pay?
Facebook uses its own security features for the user’s privacy. Facebook provides you with all the transaction history and details of payments. You can check the details and history by using any family app on Facebook, not any other person can see those details until you shared them. The details of the credit card will be secure and encrypted. Facebook users have to add the pin to their online account.
Facebook pay is now available on Facebook and Messenger in the US and they will launch it on Instagram and WhatsApp soon. You can set up Facebook pay from the settings menu of FB by using a Facebook app or website.
