State Bank of Pakistan gives permission to start Pakistan’s own international payment gateway to monitor remittances NITB National Information Technology Board.it is good news for Pakistani freelancers who send and recive payments. Looking forward to this news. The information shared by the federal cabinet in a meeting recently when the performance of NITB came under discussion.
The question was raised on the status of two projects International Payment Gateway and the other is Anti-money Laundering. it was apprised that State Bank of Pakistan did not provide the compliance matrix to have Pakistan Internation Payment Gateway.
But SBP has Given Go ahead now so accordingly the work for international Payment Gateway is a start. however, acknowledged that NITB has contributed to NCOC work on creating databases and digitization of NGOs registration at EAD.
National Information Technology Board Chief Executive Officer gave a presentation on the performance of the organization to the cabinet.He stated that a couple of Ordinances regarding revamping of NITB Charter and data nervous system have lapsed whereas some other legislation is stuck at different levels.
The Prime Minister Imran khan Notice and shows concerns on projects over the slow implementation highlighted by the NITB Pm Imran khan want complete these projects as soon as possible so he directed that all bottlenecks hampering the fast-track completion of these projects should be removed.
The Committee would comprise the following members:
- Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Establishment -. (Chairman);
- Secretary, Cabinet Division;
- Secretary, IT & Telecommunication Division and;
- Chairman NITB.
