Islamabad: Federal Minister of Railway Sheikh Rasheed has announced that they are going to resume the train service from April 15 on Sunday as per permission from Prime Minister Imran Khan.
In a media conference, Sheikh Rasheed said that the decision of suspending Railway services was taken due to lockdown.

Railway Minister said that Pakistan Railway resumes its services if Prime Minister allowed.
On the 30th of March, Sheikh Rasheed announced that the Railway services will remain to stop until the end of the lockdown so that people will stay at home and avoid gathering. Later he decided to resume the train on the 1st of April after the permission from the PM.
Railway Minister also clarifies that no railway worker or employee in infected from coronavirus and coronavirus condition is much better than other countries and we will control it. Also, he said that they have sent the data of railway employees including collies, pensioner and poor workers in the Ehsaas program for income support.
He also said that we decided our seven railway hospitals will be treating COVID-19 patients. It includes 50 quarantine beds in hospital and railway hospital has the capacity to take care of 450 coronavirus patients in Rawalpindi.
He further said that their goods-carrying trains will continue their services as per schedule so that they can easily supply goods all around the country.
