Recently, Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has revealed the information in new article regarding the sales and production of automotive industry of the month of April and the news was really shocking.

In the month of April, no automotive vehicle was sold or produced said by PAMA officials. They further said that “This is the first time we witnessed no production and sales for the whole month in the Auto history and we see the same situation in the month of May and it is very difficult situation for auto sector”.
52% sales of overall cars had fallen down just in 10 months of this year. Honda sales affects a lot and its cars staggering sales fall by 64% on yearly basis and Indus motors affected by the sale of 54% in a year. Suzuki faces the loss of 47% sales in a year.
Why Have the Sales Gone Down to Zero?
There are two methods to look on the sale of car and it is depend on the delivery to the customer means that if someone book a car and paid a full payment then we can’t considered it as sale until we can’t deliver it to customer.
First reason is that there were many booked cars but we can’t deliver it to customers as Government imposes Lockdown in whole country and companies had to stop all the deliveries and operations.
The other reason is that last year there were very less sale in the country because of bad economic condition in country, increase in price of cars and increase in tax. These two are the major reasons behind no sale.
What’s next for the Car Industry?
As we all know that due to Coronavirus outbreak, almost every country is fasing difficult situation especially local auto industry.
The sales and production just in last month affected the auto industry a lot and it’s very difficult to stable it again according to PAMA.
The other thing that affected the auto industry a lot is devaluation of Rupee and due to this many companies like Honda and Toyota already increased in price of their cars.
Now, for the business plan they made many different plans to increase their business.
