LinkedIn Introducing Marketplaces for Freelancers to Earn
LinkedIn is a career-focused platform, which is why it makes sense that it would want to tap into a small but thriving and growing market, where white-collar professionals, like website developers or accountants, can connect with businesses or individuals that want these services.
Freelancing was boosted by the Covid-19 pandemic as people tried to find new ways to make money without leaving home.

When it will be introduced?
It is the news that it will be launched in September or October and could boost user and bring in more revenue from existing users of the professional networking site. LinkedIn reported last year that it was getting about $30 of revenue every month from active users.
Introducing a freelancer marketplace could be a step in the right direction by LinkedIn because it already has a database of professionals, companies, and learning platforms.
The company is planning to offer its 700 million professional users an opportunity to hire instantly and easily through Marketplaces. The payment method will most likely be a digital wallet from Microsoft for earning and paying clients.
LinkedIn and Microsoft have made no announcement for a launch date, but considering the plan has been in the works since October 2019, we could look at a September 2022 launch.
