According to a report by Axios, Google is going to develop its own processor for their Pixel’s phones (hopefully next year). After the success of this plan then later processors will be used in Google’s Chromebooks.
Apple is using its own hardware in all there devices, just like Apple, Google is also planning to develop their hardware for their devices.
They give the code name of the chip as “Whitechapel”. It might be eight-core ARM processor. This processor has the ability to optimize for running the machine learning technology of Google and this chip will increase the performance of Google assistant.
Some chips are already manufactured by Google for different purpose like Titan-M is security chip used in Google Pixel phones and Pixel 4 used coprocessor named as the Pixel Neural Core.
The main processor of Google Pixel is made by Qualcomm and this processor is developed by Google to run Google software smoothly. This service will also use in the future hardware of Google devices. It is just like Apple as Apple used A-series chip for better performance of iOS. Qualcomm is using in most of the Android devices but Huawei and some devices of Samsung aren’t using Qualcomm.
