The education department of Pakistan said that all educational institutes will remain closed after 1st of June due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
This decision was taken in the meeting with Education Minister Shafaqat Mahmood.
Education Minister of all four Province participated in the meeting through video.
Education minister of Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan were against with the decision of reopening schools from June 1 but the Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) supported the decision of reopening of Schools from 1st of June.
After this meeting, they decided to put this matter in National Coordination Committee (NCC) for the further action in this regard.
Today, Educational Minister of Punjab Murad Raas said it is the fake news that we are reopening schools from 1st of the June.
Punjab Educational Minister uses the platform of Twitter to dismiss the fake news about reopening of schools. He also said that our first priority is safety for our children and teachers. Later, he said that the final decision will be announced soon by me and don’t listen to rumors or on fake news.

He wrote in his tweeter account that “It is clear for all that no official decision has taken yet for opening of schools on 1st of June. Safety for our students and children is our first priority. Don’t listen to any one until you heard the official news from me.
